Review on Michael Kors Sunglasses

 -♥-

When I went to Paris at the beginning of this month I had a cheeky look in Duty free at Liverpool Airport. I was having a good old nosy and trying on numerous sunglasses, not thinking that I would actually fall in love with a pair!

I have bad eye sight which means I need to wear glasses. Anyone who knows me knows I hate wearing them so on a regular basis I do wear contact lenses. I think I just don't suit glasses and find it really hard to actually find any glasses or sunglasses that suit my face. I have a very small head (pea head) and always feel that they look too big for me. So finding sunglasses I have the exact same problem, I have bought massive sunglasses in the past but after seeing them on in photographs I have noticed how silly I look.

So when I tried on a pair of sunglasses from Michael Kors I was very surprised. They are a tortoise shell colour which a metal gold square side with the Michal Kors name on it.

You can find them online at:

http://www.worlddutyfree.com/michael-kors-sunglasses.html#!1003247714-Michael-Kors_-_6665

They are really affordable too which is great at £66.65, honestly you can not go wrong with the quality and style. The photographs do not give them justice as they look black in the photographs which they are not. If you want some designer sunglasses but don't want a huge price tag these would be the sunglasses for you. If you are traveling and are at the airport I would definitely have a look in Duty Free for some.

Another thing which I really like too is the case is a hard case which means the glasses wouldn't get crushed when put away. I am also just disappointed though that summer is coming to the end and I will have to put them away until the sun decides to shine again which in this case in England is very rare.

I am really happy I found some sunglasses that fit perfectly.

August Bank Holiday

-♥-

I've been very slow at uploading blog posts for the few days, I have been at work, working like crazy and if I haven't been at work I have been sleeping (lazy I know). Just to warn you this post will probably be my shortest one yet and containing little photographs, my life at the moment has been very dull at not very exciting at all. I am writing this post without any planning so it most likely is going to be a rambling post.

To properly begin the point of this blog is that in England we have just had our Bank Holiday weekend (23rd-26th August). My friends and myself made a last minute decision to have a night out on Sunday 25th. It must be a fact that last minute night outs are always the best. As I am legal to drink I did consume a lot of Malibu and Coke, cocktails, vodka and cokes as well probably a few shots too. The next day I woke up extremely hungover. (I would not advice mixing drinks, I shall not be doing that ever again as I found myself spending most of yesterday with my head down the toilet).

The worst thing too was the fact I had planned to go and meet my dad in Manchester City Centre on Sunday night for some Thai food at Chaophraya. If you like Thai food you will love it there. I would really recommend it especially the Asian Platter, Weeping Tiger Beef, Peanut Chicken and the Chicken Pad Thai. If you been to Thailand (which I have) the food is spot on to some of the dishes I tried when I went on holiday there last June. (Photographs and a blog post will be coming shortly).

Anyway I just thought I would share a photograph of what I wore on my night out.

Bag from Primark, Belt from Primark, Mint dress from Forever 21, Wedges from New Look and Glittery headband Claire's Accessorises.

Whilst having a few days away from the blog I have been thinking over the past few days what I am actually going to blog about, I find many subjects of an interest, I could not categorize myself as of yet in which blog category I fit under. I love traveling, I love make up and clothes, I love food (who doesn't). So I think for people wanting to know what future posts I will upload it will completely random and whatever I actually fancy wring about, unless people have a topic which they would like to read about I am very flexible.

I have also signed up for Twitter so if you would like to follow me please do so at : https://twitter.com/GabriellaGabble

When in Rome

-♥-

In a previous Blog post I mentioned that I had just come back from my holiday to Paris. I was fortunate though to travel to Rome with the same friend back in June this year. We went to Rome for a few days and had such a brilliant time exploring and seeing the tourist attractions. I thought I would share some photographs and some stories from our time in Rome.

Our hotel was not in the best of locations but we couldn't grumble because the price we paid to go to Rome was very good especially since it was school holidays too. Our hotel was sort of near The Vatican however to get around we did need to use taxis. We did try to use the Metro stations however the time we went to Rome there were strikes on so that made it harder to use, so we gave up on using it.

One of the best things we discovered was the citysightseeing bus. This enabled us to get around Rome so much easier because all we had to do was get a taxi from our hotel to The Vatican and hop on the bus. We bought the two day pass for the bus which was really good value. I would recommend getting on the sightseeing bus to get around cities when your tourists.

On our first day we decided head to The Vatican. It was so busy and the queues to go inside were so big and the weather was really hot too so we decided against queuing up but had a good nosy around the outside taking lots of photographs.

One of my favourite places in Rome which probably is going to be a lot of people's favourites is the Trevi Fountain. From seeing it featured in various films to actually standing right near it, it was amazing. The detail that has gone into it was fascinating. Many people had told us prior to going to Rome to throw a coin into the fountain, this is a tradition as it means the visitor can be ensured a return to Rome if thrown using the right hand over the left shoulder and make a wish. So we did this!

Ready to throw the coin into the fountain.

One night we went out for a walk and came across the Trevi Fountain, it wasn't dark but they had put lights on and the Fountain looked so pretty. It is worth a visit.

Before we went to Rome my friend and myself were on the internet looking at places in Rome to go at night. It was on TripAdvisor were we stumbled across an ICE BAR in Rome. Ice Club Roma was a bar which was made of ice which meant that with the entrance fee you got a free coat to keep you warm and unlimited drinks (open bar) for 20 euros on a Tuesday for the night. I will the link the websites for it below if you are interested. I have always wanted to go to an Ice Bar the nearest to me in the UK is London but is very expensive which is why I was shocked how reasonable the deal was which we got!
The official website for it is:   http://www.iceclubroma.it/
And the Facebook page is: https://www.facebook.com/IceClubRome?ref=br_tf

One lesson we did learn from going to this Ice Bar is to dress sensible, wrap up it is going to be cold it says it in the name really ICE BAR! But stupidly two blondes (my friend and myself) went in flip flops and did not wrap up, we dressed for the summer which was a HUGE mistake. We just had to keep drinking and walking about the bar to keep warm until we couldn't actually feel our feet or hands. (They said that gloves are given free however you had to pay on the door for them which we didn't).

One of our next tourists stops we made was at the Colosseum. We had decided that we would like to go inside, however the queue to get in was so big! Then a woman from a tour guide company approached us and asked if we were under 25 years old. We said we were and we had to show our driving licence to prove it and we were able to get a tour guide a tiny bit cheaper which meant we would be able to skip the massive queue.

Once inside which took ages to actually get inside the Colosseum because the tour guide was over loading us with history and facts of the Colosseum. Don't get me wrong it was interesting to hear the history behind it, however it would have been nice if he would have given us this information once inside.

When we did finally get inside the Colosseum we decided after awhile we wanted to do some exploring of our own as it was nice to get the information from the tour guide however he didn't really give us chance to take photographs as he was talking so much!! So we ditched the tour guide which one of the lessons we did think of the trip to Rome was to pay to tour guide to get into places quick and then just ditch them!

One night we managed to stumble across the Colosseum, it was really nice to see it lit up in the dark!

The Spanish Steps.

If you have been to Rome I would love to hear your thought on it in the comments below! I think I would definitely visit again in a few years as we didn't get chance to do much shopping which I would love to have done.

Warner Brothers Studio Tour London

-♥-

In March this year my family and myself headed to the Warner Brothers Studio Tour in Watford London to see the Harry Potter tour. I would say we spent quite a few hours looking around the studio and it just showed how much thought and effort they had put into organising every tiny detail for it's visitors.

I would say if you are a Harry Potter lover it is definitely worth making a trip to it. The studio tour allows you to see props, costumes, sets and lots of information about filming techniques. It is so strange standing on the sets where all the actors have filmed on. I have grown up with the Harry Potter franchise and have always been a fan and visiting the studio tour was such a big deal for me and I was so giddy as soon as we drove onto the tours car park.

The most important thing to do before visiting is to pre book your tickets. You have to allocate which day you want to visit and what time slot, which depends if the time you want and day is available and hasn't all sold out.

If you are thinking about going stop thinking and book the tickets on Warner Brothers Website. It is such a fun day out for all ages and Harry Potter Lovers. At the end of the day I had taken so many photographs it was untrue, there was just so much to take photographs of and I thought I would share some of my favourite ones with you.

If you are planning on visiting the studio and do not want to see any photographs or spoilers of the tour I advise you to click off this blog post as I do not want to ruin it for you!

This is the sign near the entrance of the studio.

A photograph of myself near the entrance.

My owl ticket

Whilst in the studio you have to queue to go into a room where a film is shown whilst waiting this is shown on your right hand side and it is Harry Potters Cupboard (bedroom) under the stairs at the Muggles house.

A closer shot inside of The Cupboard under the stairs.
After you have gone into a room to watch a short film you are then escorted into the Great Hall. Where you see the tables are set for dinner's. Around the edges they display costumes on models for you to look at.

The most disappointing aspect I would mention is that we only had a short time looking around the Great Hall compared to the other rooms around the tour. I only managed to get a few photographs from the Great Hall and unfortunley didn't get chance to look at everything in detail. The problem is that once being escorted out of the Great Hall the doors close behind you and you can not return.

I think they try to stagger the tour time slots by the short film and because the Great Hall is not large room compared to the other rooms on the tour there is not enough space for people to stay in for a long time. So be prepared to be rushed out of the Great Hall.

After leaving the Great Hall you are then taken to a large room which features costumes from the film which the actors wore. It also shows the hair and make up which they used in the films. This room also shows various sets dressed ready for filming. Some of the sets are a lot smaller than imagined.

This photograph shows the costumes from the Yule Ball from the Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire film.

The wigs which they used in various films.

There is also section in this room which features a green room where the visitors can fly a broom or go in the flying Ford Anglia. I chose to fly the broom. You are not meant to take photographs in the green room but I was able to take some sneaky ones. You can purchase your flying photograph which I did.
Myself ready to fly the broom.

The professional photograph of myself on the broom playing Quidditch.

There is so much to look at in the main large room I haven't included every photograph of everything as if you are planning to attend the studio there will be still some surprises for you! After looking around this section of the tour the next one is outside at the back lot of the studio.

In the back lot it allows visitors to purchase Butterbeer (I didn't buy one here as when I went to Florida back in 2010 I tried one at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando and I didn't particularly like it). I would say if you haven't tried one definitely do as everyone has different tastes. My friends went to the studio tour few months after I went and they tried them and they liked it!

The back lot also has features the knight Bus, Hagrid's motorbike and the Ford Anglia and allows the visitors to take photographs with them. What also is in the back lot is 4 Privet Drive and Hogwards Bridge. Seeing these up close and personal was amazing, it was so strange seeing Privet Drive not actually on a street like it is shown in the films.

Myself in the Ford Anglia with the Hogwards Bridge behind it.

After being outside for quite awhile we went back inside the studio to explore a different room which featured the creature studio and the craft elements which appeared in the films.

In the Creatures studio there is so much to look at, I have only uploaded a few selected photographs as I did not want to spoil every aspect of the studio for you.

The next section of the tour is one of my favourites it is Diagon Alley.  Compared to what is shown on film Diagon Alley is a lot smaller than I had actually imagined.

After Diagon Alley you are able to view the Art Department, which showed some of the drawings and models. This room was very detailed and showed how much thought and effort had actually been put into making the film such a huge success.

The best bit of the whole entire studio must be the last and final section of the tour which is the model scale of Hogwarts. The lightening of the room changed to show the model at day and night. It was fascinating to see how Hogwarts had been created.

To end an amazing day at the studio we went into the fascinating gift shop! It sold everything related to Harry Potter and did not miss anything out. I just thought I would include some photographs of myself messing about in the gift shop.

Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger Wands

Well I hope you have liked this Blog post. If you have been to the studio please let me know your thoughts about it in the comments! I loved every single second of it. I just want them now to build The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in the UK like the one at Universal Orlando!
