#throwbackthursday

 -♥-

 HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM!

Today is my mums birthday and I thought I would share this photograph of my mum and myself. This photograph was taken when I was a baby and my mum was around 29 years old.  So a very old #throwbackthursday photograph.

I really do miss the old fashioned way of developing photographs from a disposable camera and putting the 20 photographs in an album. I was looking through one of my mums albums and found this photograph! It should be on my 'list of things to do' to get some photographs printed off and make a scrap book of memories. I would love to do this sometime soon.

Have you got a #throwbackthursday blog post? or #throwbackthursday instagram picture, I would love to have a look at them. I love looking at pictures!

I am going to MCBUSTED

Image taken from Pintrest

Exciting news my friends from work and myself managed to get ourselves some Mcbusted tickets for next year in Manchester, exciting stuff. If you don't know who Mcbusted are you must have been living under a rock the past few weeks. They are both boy band groups Busted band formed in 2002 and Mcfly who formed in 2003 and they are collaborating together in creating a massive 2014 UK tour. It is going to be amazing. We even got VIP tickets too! I am so excited.

I can tell already next year is going to be better than this year. Don't get me wrong this year has been pretty impressive, I have been on holiday quite a few times. Which has been amazing but I think next year will be even better.

Has anybody else managed to get Mcbusted tickets for next year?

#throwbackthursday

-♥-

I know..I know...I know I missed my last weeks #throwbackthursday last Thursday. I was so busy with work and packing for London it completely slipped my mind.

On this #throwbackthursday this week I decided to share some photographs which I took around Christmas time in 2010! The weather this week has dropped a lot and has become freezing, I am definitely going to have to dig out my hat and gloves from now on when I leave the house.

The main #throwbackthursday photograph is----

As always with one of these blog posts I do like to include some additionally old photographs!

Finally I have a friend snowman that is the exact same height as myself!

Why can't my hair be this length now! This depresses me.

After looking back at these photographs they have made me feel really cold, I am going to go now and make myself a nice warm cup of tea.

What is your #throwbackthursday photograph this week?

I went to watch Billy Elliot The Musical in London (another activity ticked off on my to do list)

-♥-

As I mentioned in a previous blog post I went down south at the weekend to visit my boyfriend. Prior to going down we both had been looking online at musicals to go and see as I had been pestering to go as I had never watched a musical in London before. Plus I have had to sit through going to Rugby matches and watching Football on TV it was only fair he was dragged to something I wanted to do.

It was a hard choice as I fancied watching a few but we narrowed it down to Billy Elliot The Musical. I had such a lovely time and I love going to the Theatre. As my University Degree is in Managing Performance which includes Managing of a Theatre I have always had an interest in Performing Arts. I just wish now I had taken advantage of watching more theatrical performances whilst at University.

Please ignore the metal fences clearly doing building works! But me posing and looking forward to Billy Elliot.

Our seats were really high up, in the photograph below we were to the left towards the box's on the second row. The seats were named restricted seats however, I think we had really good seats as we were able to see everything on stage clearly and could see everything that was going on.

I really enjoyed Billy Elliot it was the first musical performance I had seen in London, the only disappointing aspect is that it didn't play one of my favourite songs out of the film 'We love to boogie' by T. Rex.

Even though I really liked Billy Elliot I still love and prefer The Lion King Musical I saw it in New York a couple of years ago and saw it earlier again this year in Janaury/February can't remember exactly but saw it in Manchester for my mums birthday. I just love it and it would be one of the musicals I would love to see the third time round!

Have any of you seen Billy Elliot the Musical in London? What are your thoughts on it? I would love to know.

I think next time I would love to see Wicked, The Bodyguard or the new Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Which other Musicals have you seen in London? Any of these, please let me know your thoughts on them.

London's Xmas Lights, Carnaby Street Decorations and Selfridges Windows

-♥-

I thought I would share some of the photographs I took at the weekend in London and the Christmas decorations that were up for all the people that won't be able to get to London to see them!

Carnaby Street, Street Decorations.

Selfridges windows the photographs don't do the windows justice. They were just simply amazing! Each thing in the windows was massive.

This next one was my favourite and I loved how the tassel moved on this one, it was so pretty and very impressive!

Even Marks and Spencers tried to compete, even though I really like the stars I think Selfrides win all round this time. I can't wait to visit London early in December to go and look at Harrods windows as I really liked last years which was the Disney Princesses ones.

Have you seen the decorations? Do you like them?

I visited ZSL London Zoo (another activity ticked off on my to do list)

This weekend I made a trip down south to Chelmsford to visit my boyfriend who lives in Essex, I went down by train on Friday evening and we decided to go into London early on the Saturday. As I had wrote in my blog post 'A List Of Things I Want to Do In My Life.' Which you can visit
here.

I wanted to visit London's Zoo as I hadn't never been before we decided to look into going and found that if we used our rail tickets we were able to get into the Zoo using a Days Out Guide voucher 2 for 1 which only then cost us all together £21.00 which was a bargain. I would really recommend checking this website out as they have discounts for London and the South East. I will definitely be having a look for other cheap things to do in London when I next visit in a few weeks time.

The way the Days Out Guide works is you have to qualify by traveling by train as you have to show your train tickets once at the attractions as well you have to sign up to the website. Then you have to select which 2 for 1 discount voucher you want and add it to the basket. Please note you have to definitely print the voucher off which gets sent by email to you. Then bring the train tickets and voucher to the chosen attractions. It is that easy and cheap! There are other terms and conditions on their website so if you want to have a look please check it out here.

Once we got to ZSL London Zoo before queuing up to purchase the tickets there was a man taking our photographs on a blank canvas I didn't really know what he was going to do with the photographs until we got to the end of the day and we were leaving the Zoo. At the exist there is a guy selling the photographs and the nice book. I bought these ones which came as photographs and one photograph to be able to fit in a keyring (keychain) for £10. I thought the price was pretty expensive but it was one of those things I liked the photographs and thought they would be nice memories of the day. The other package he offered to me was £20 I can't remember what you got for that but for myself it was not necessary to spend that much.

I also would note it would be pretty advisable to take own sandwiches or snacks to the Zoo as like most places the food areas were very expensive. For once slice of pizza and chips was £9! SHOCKING! I ended up settling for a bag of crisps and a Christmas Cupcake for lunch.

I thought I would share some of the photographs I took, some are taken on my Olympus HD D-720 Camera and some are on my Iphone 5 so mixed quality of photographs.

Hope you enjoy them, I had a good day and glad I have been able to tick it off my to do list now!

Whilst at the Zoo it made me realise how unsociable the animals were, I suppose if I was them and was having my photograph taken like 10000 or more a day then I would get pretty sick of it and turn my back too.

In the Kangaroo Sanctuary outback area I only saw one Kangaroo which I was disappointed at.

I found NEMO!

I really liked this sign and it made me laugh!

The Penguin Beach was one of the areas I loved the most, it was such a lovely place for the Penguin's to be. I really liked the fact there was glass walls so you could see them swimming under neigh.

I made a friend with a penguin! I love this photograph.

In the Reindeer pen there was only two Reindeer's I guess the others were out helping Father Christmas prepare for Christmas time ;)

At the Zoo there was loads of information and leaflets about encouraging young people or anyone in fact to become a Zoo Keeper for the day. These poor children probably didn't realise being a Zoo Keeper meant brushing up poop all day.

After vising the Zoo I think I now have a thing for Owls, I just think they look like lovely creatures.

The whole surroundings of the Zoo was nice and we had lovely weather too when we went which was good. It was such a beautiful place.

Myself posing on the canal bridge.

 Bats in the cave.

Have you ever been to ZSL London Zoo before?  If you have what are your thoughts on it? If you haven't been would you like to?
